The Gift That Changed Everything
In 2016, as a mom of two young kiddos, Sara was looking for a way to relieve stress and find joy outdoors, so she used gift money from one of her grandmothers and planted eight old-english rose bushes. Those beautiful blooms made her come alive. The flowers made her feel connected to each of her wonderful grandmothers as she remembered their love for growing and sharing flowers. She and her kids began to spend all of their free time in the garden tending the plants and admiring their beauty. Over time, she added more varieties of flowers to her cutting garden and a passion ignited.
Her kids began to cut and share the flowers with friends and neighbors, and soon people started asking to buy bouquets to give as gifts. One Mother's Day, she offered her bouquets to local friends on social media and sold out in two hours! Shortly after, she received countless messages from the recipients of the bouquets explaining what the flower gifts meant to them. In that moment, she and her husband Teddy knew they had something special.

After much dreaming and planning, the couple bought a beautiful country property in central Oklahoma and in 2021, the Oklahoma Cut Flower Company was born. The now-bigger garden has and always will be a family-centered endeavor that inspires people to connect with the wonder of fresh flowers and to each other.

We are Teddy and Sara Wilson, and our mission is to inspire those around us to include more Oklahoma-grown flowers into their everyday lives. We believe that flowers connect us to nature, our true selves and each other.

We grow seasonal specialty cut flowers for personal enjoyment and professional design. We offer flowers that grow best in our local climate when they would naturally bloom and those that do not ship well. This ensures the freshest, longest-lasting blooms for our customers, but also gives them a chance to purchase varieties that are not commonly offered through wholesalers. As seasonal growers, we also seek to educate our community about sustainable growing and inspire them to embrace seasonal flowers and the locally-grown flower movement in our beautiful home state.
